Well the general consensus is you can shoot anything accept Indian and commmercial "thin brass" :rolleyes:
But now there is Igman and 7.62 NATO is back in supply, kind of... I shoot steel CHEAP... Go figure... We have all had different experiences w/ Indian ammo. Personally I have never had one single problem. But there are others that have. I am saving my Indian and will shoot anything else:rolleyes: I really am guys so don't start up with the Indian burns:wink:

Wolf and Barnaul are both pretty solid...heck even steel is reloadable..

:dsia:Welcome to the forum 10 guage! I try to stick with NATO spec for my CETMES but everything else is fair game for my AR type and bolt guns with the exception of Indian. I found some really bad cartridges in some 90s Indian. Just not worth taking the chance.

10Gauge, there have been historic problems with the plastic bagged in 10 rd ammo that shipped over here early in this decade. The head stamps were all with in the ninties and later, the general question is why the Indian army is getting rid of the ammo. There are two reasons a army takes ammo out of stock for the most part, age or qc issues. The third would be elimination of the weapons system from the inventory that used it. The first and last one arent the problem with the indians, thus it was qc problems, there are horror stories on the net about the Kabooms of rifles and machine guns caused by various problems with qc on the ammo.

P.S. this is 7.62x51 ammo, in the discussion, not sure if anything else from India has been exported

On the Malasian and Pakistani, I have not heard the bad things about that as I have about the Indian.
