I am getting a Chinese knockoff of a trench gun. The real deal is too much for my purposes so I'm going with the much cheaper route. Which bayo was used on them?

Actually the link shows the M1917. Dang, now I'll have to pick one of those up. Already have a cutdown 1903 for the garand and an uncut for the springfield.

yea, it is the m1917 bayonet. i got one for my m1917, its like a small sword. i got mine off ebay for like 50, they're not cheap anymore. u can still find some on ebay, but you gotta look around elsewhere online. expect to pay 50-100 or maybe more depending on quality.
now all i need is a trench gun and i'll just switch the bayonet between the two.

Technically, it's the Pattern 1913 bayonet, which was originally used on the Pattern 1914 rifle. The same bayonet was used on the Model 1917 rifle as well as the shotguns. The only difference between the Brit version & the US version was the scabbard. There's a guy who sells at a local gun show who has a newer shotgun bayonet with plastic grips, which indicates it was Viet Nam-era issue.

Didn't International Military Antiques have some halfway decent repros that don't break the bank?
If it's just for display, might be worth looking into.
