I'm from Hong Kong, and it's not mystery, I used to play with airsoft guns and charge around forests shooting people with plastic pellets.

Now there's an airsoft forum back in HK where I like posting crap they don't get to shoot over there. Some guys like it, some guys just be asses about it..

There's a thread I started whenever I was oh so exited about taking my first buck with my trusty M14, here are some of the damn responses I'd gotten from some people that just get on my nerves so bad...

好殘忍....不過支M14 D迷彩好靚~:) (translation: hunting is so cruel, but the M14's camo looks nice)

用支威力咁強既槍去打死隻只懂害怕的鹿, 事後仲用影相炫耀, 還要放上網展示,
一張充份反影出人類心態, 弱肉強食現實的圖片. (translation: using such a powerful rifle to terrorize and murder a deer that knows no more than pure fear, and afterwards, taking photos to show off, and posting it online. This truely reflects the human's raw, untamed nature, revealing the true picture of a predator and prey)

my response to them:
Hunting is easily portrayed as an act of evilness, of tyranny over this weak animal.
Truth is, I abide all laws here in the US to hunt. I don't try to shoot as many deer as I can, just enough meat for a few months.

Some people go hunting for killing, as much as they want. I stalked and hunted for 5 days this time and decided to take this deer. I could tell it wasn't a bably, but at the same time wasn't the strongest of it's kind. If it weren't me it would had been taken out somehow.

Most importantly, lots of my friends in HK don't realise how much hunters actually do for the environment. Here we strive to keep the environment intact for the wildlife and vegitation to grow free. Hunting, just like gardening is a method for us to manage our wildlife.

Deer is overpopulated in Texas. They compete with not only cattle for food, but they also compete with each other, starving each other out and in other words, if people didn't hunt them, they would be like rabbits in Australia... they would eat up ALL the resources.

I practice hard to know how my rifle shoots. I never let animals suffer from a bad shot, I hate that. For this deer, I took it with a shot through both shoulders, both lungs and heart. It did not live in much pain.

Hunting is much more than what most animal rights groups try to portray. Hunting with land owners are probably the sole forces in protecting the environment here in the US.

仲以為自己好X形,羅支M14射下自已啦.七夢夢 (this guy got banned before I read what he had to say, this is all I got from another quote... translation: oh, you there thinking you're so fk'n cool, why don't you shoot yourself with that M14 you have, dumbshiite...)

(this if from some other dude who replied to my post)
Ignorance is what's killing the planet, 'we're doing the environment a flavor' blah blah blah. Load of crap trying to justify or rationalize killing by assuming the animal would end up dead one way or the other. Survival of the fittest is what establishes equilibrium man and please show dominance by giving him a fair go by taking the the animal bare handed. Humans are overpopulated too does that mean you can start shooting them for the nature's sake as well? Respect wild animals your trigger doesnt have the right to decide what lives and what doesn't.

and this one takes the crown:

shooting defenceless animals makes you feel like the man you always want to be but never will be?

here's my response:

calling yourself a "Leatherneck" making you feel like a man you'll never be?
because I happen to shoot with a US Marine who could probably stick your head back into your anus.

Legal hunting isn't poaching, you arse licker.

you also spelled "defenseless" wrong.

Henry you can't argue with these people in HK, London or Seattle. But I do think a few of them on your HK board are envious of you deep down. They would never admit it, they play with plastic bb guns you have a real FAL, M 14 and CETME. You shoot real things with it and eat the meat latter.
They buy their meat at the store or at Mc Donald's, You get it your self.
Just tell them yes I feel like a REAL MAN when I hunt because I am a REAL MAN. That drives them up the wall.

man, at least when they pose to be SEALs or Rangers, they would get SOME sort of the badassness that our servicemen carry along with them. Instead, they put some fake foreign uniform on, run 100,200m and have to rest for 15minutes before they are even able to remotely lift a dick up.

seeing guys like these just makes me want to be in service just that much sooner, learn correctly how to kick ass, and kick everyone's ass on my glorious return.

I'm so disappointed with these guys, this "militaria enthusiast community" that I used to belong to. I really hate bringing up the fact that I used to do airsoft because there are so many kids in there who can't run, can't shoot, and don't have the damn decency to think before they speak.

and to close this rant up, i bring you this(because I know EXACTLY who it's making fun of):

They are just like the rest of the Liberal pukes in this world, They know better than us. They want to force their own sence of right and wrong on everyone else. Many moons ago the monikor "Liberal" meant letting others do their own thing. In the 60's Liberals wanted an individual make his or her own moral decisions. Now they are so smart and "correct" that they want everyone to follow their moral code.

Remember, deer are people too. ALF (Animal Lberation Front) and ELF ( Earth Liberation Front) are terrorist organizations. They will kill a human to protect a deer or monkey or freakin' dandelion. That is why they support the Muslim fanatics. It justifies their own terrorist methods.

Henry, I'm sorry man....but its something they will never understand, no matter how you try and explain it. I look at hunting more like this...at least the deer/duck/rabbit/moose/dove etc... lived a pretty grand life before I took it. As opposed to that shrink wrapped meat at the store that was all doped up and trapped in a pen. Poultry with breasts so large they can't even stand up. How do you explain to someone who has grown up in an urban environment?

I got trapped in a similar discussion with a gentlemen from Holland...that was a lot more civil, but in the end just as frustrating. He believed in his heart it was the government's role to protect their citizens from the evil of the world, whether foreign or domestic. No calmly stated argument could sway him, even when I mentioned the German occupation of his country. Some arguments we are destined to loose because of how people are raised.

As to the Airsoft thing....again, if they have never been in the service, they have no reference point to understand it.

Henry, are these folks nevo middle class and upper middle class Chinese/Hong Kong folks, where they are doing far more dammage to the enviroment by using disposable chopsticks, and eating endangered wild life for "health" bennifits, which has cased the deplation of species thurout the world.

Dang there are more whitetail deer in this nation than there have ever been, I heard that twenty years ago, with all of the natural preadators gone, and hunting by humans restricted, and the movement of farmers off the land, its caused an explosion in the population of wild deer and other wildlife in this nation. I think more deer are killed by automobiles than hunters in many places, thus is a 3000 lb car more humane than a bullet.

I guess they believe that we still starve our poor, they live in paper shacks, roaming the west in cars picking grapes and fruits and vegitables too.

Mmmm...large breasts....:bash::bash:
Oh, and BTW, if you let a "free-range" chicken live to 9weeks, it will have huge breasts! all from eatin feed, bugs, and the occasional field mouse. (The meat gets a bit tough at 9 wks, tho, best to exsanguinate them at about 7-8 wks).

Henry, there is a fundamental diff in your thinking and thiers, your minds are in 2 diff places, and they are not listening to you, just bashing you even if you try to explain. At best, you can agree to disagree, then post this image:

I spend too much time on Bolter and Chainsword (a 40k forum), and there's times where it seems to get that way too. I've been spoiled, this bunch (well, cetmerifles anyway) was the first forum I ever spent any time on, and we've got a bunch of passionate gun lovers, who in my experience, are the nicest most respectfull bunch of people I've ever known. I guess an armed society is a polite society...

Really, all you have to do is bring up the fact that they are "playing war", and if they are so anti-violence, why dont they go play something else? They could all go play a rousing game of hide and go f--- yourself...

Tell him you would do it bare handed, but its against the law Cause its cruel. Look it up, it is. In wi deer can only be hunted with a bow and arrow or a firearm. Unless your an indian on a res.

Tell him that the most overpopulated parts of the world are asia, and europe. So yea maybe we should take care of that.(not serious)

Maybe they treat animals like gold cause they already killed them all off so it is rare to see a wild animal alive.

The only experience they've had with whitetailed deer, or similar deer, is that one Disney movie (you know which one, der.) So they'll get upset because it's a cute innocent fuzzy little animal, and not a 125lb rabbit that destroys large amounts of crops every year.

I've always thought it was kind of funny how my insanely liberal hippy (just ask anybody who's heard of UWSP) school's students just about all know that deer hunting is neccissary to the natural environment. Probably because we're all required to take an Environmental Literacy class to graduate, so it gets drilled into your head. Even the anti-gun people realize that deer rifles have their place.

Unfortunatly I don't hunt, so they still don't want me to have any guns... getting our shooting club set up's gonna be alot of work...............

using such a powerful rifle to terrorize and murder a deer that knows no more than pure fear,

so......

if you went out there with a rifle chambered in a smaller cartridge, the deer wouldnt be as "terrorized" and would be ok??????

M1Marksman
03-13-2008, 08:44 PM
Kinda hard to be "terrorized" by something that snuffs you out before you even know what hit you. Even so, once you're dead, you have no memory of it to be terrorized about.

Terrorized is when a bunch of radical extremists saw off your head with a dull scimitar!

Personally, I don't hunt. I do, however, agree that hunting is necessary & helps control the population. Just think...if humans didn't have wars, the earth would be even more overpopulated.

In conclusion, go hunting:2pistol:. Don't worry about what a bunch of Armchair Rambos have to say. Don't sweat the small stuff. Those overfed, long-haired leaping gnomes work up a sweat watching tv:catcorn:.

you can't argue with these people in HK, London or Seattle.

Norton - right on - that just cracks me up - we up here in the "left" corner often get lumped in with those two wacked out countries - it's sad, but sooooo damn true...

When folks around here find out I shoot - the first question I get (with their head cocked to one side like a dog that hears a funny sound) is... "why?"

Uh, why do I shoot? Well, I like it. It's a great hobby that requires respect and attention to detail. Plus, there's this incredible history that surrounds weapons of all kinds and I feel that by understanding how history has been shaped by the use of these weapons, I can preserve that history and teachings for my son and others...

So, if I may - Why do you sit in a coffee shop talking about American Idol?

They quickly come-back "Well, do you kill anything?" Me - no, just paper targets... but I believe hunters contribute more to, and have much a greater interest in, the conservation of local species than you schmucks that wave banners and give your money/time to PETA. Honestly, how much money have you spent on fishing licenses and hunting tags - or just contributed directly to the game department in the past 10 years? Do you know what that money is used for?

Didn't think so... the conversation normally ends at this point.

You should try having a discussion with a liberal - it's like a verbal rubiks cube - and I love a puzzle - You're not going to change my mind, and I know I'm not going to change theirs, but I sure get a kick out of pissing them off with rational thinking - hahaha

Totally agree. You will be dumbfounded by the ignorance and close mindedness. I sometimes catch myself reading post after post of that mindless dribble thinking, are there really people that ignorant in the world. I just have to snap out of it and realize, "yes, there are" :(.

I too have been amazed at the stupidity and ignorance of the masses. Often wondering how they could walk across a street without getting run over or even made it past puberty with all their limbs attached. They have to have a big plastic bubble or padded room to rear so many simple minded mental midgets to adulthood.
