I bought a few weeks ago and they were backordered. Called today and it is shipping today a new unissued 59/66 Yugo!!! WhaHOOOOOO. I have Norinco that is kinda a beater that I picked up cheap that will be the range gun. So I think this will go in the back of the look pretty safe until the impending Zombie invasion. Pics will be posted upon reciept. She's blond and beatiful and if I would have known I would have bought 10 what a great gun and it was underpromised and overdeliverd!!!!!!!!!! A big plus one to centerfire systems.com. http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j196/jlpskydive/DSC_0013-1.jpg

I dig the Yugo SKS I got. It is a Zastava refurb, with new bbl, new gas tupe parts, new tritium night sights that still work. pretty durn accurate out to 100-200yds (as in hit a bowling pin on the first shot with irons accurate)...I'll be surprised if you can get it and restrain yerself from shooting it!

Now you have the chinese and yugoslavian, you need to look for the rest of them russian and such. These things are slightly adictive and so inexpensive to get into. Not quite as cheap as some but less than other types of rifles.

Yes...there might be!

Having a good looking lady UPS driver show up and deliver the rifle nakid. He he he he.

BTW....they got a REAL cutie that often delivers up here to our area.

Congrats, skydive......you're addicted now. There is no hope for you. The only relief is the constant feed of your habit. :)

I will let you know when I get it. I was backordered for about two weeks and when I called I asked about picking up two and they said they are backordered again. Seems they are going faster than they can get them in and for 217.00 delivered to the door I see why.

I can't find any import markings on this rifle at all the only markings on it are the serial number which looks like it was done with a laser and then there is another number which looks like it was done with an old time etcher and then written on the stock as well. The stamped number on the stock matches that of the laser numbers. Hmmmmm I wonder where this thing came from?????

Got to be an import mark on it somewhere....nothing on the barrel? I'll dig mine out later and take a look.

I'm glad to see they actually gave the accessories with yours, I had to buy all of mine seperate. Nice rifle man, enjoy it.

If there is I can't find it anywhere and I have really looked for it. What does it mean If there is not one? I have a reciept from a FFL so I'm not that worried, but.....

Jlpskydive, you might look near the wood, or take the action out of the stock, as M1 says, there has to be some sort of importers mark on the rifle. As for the sn, if this is as they told you, unissued, the reciever/barrel number should match the stock, and the other numbered parts of the rifle, which on an sks might be just the bolt and bolt carrier. Some maybe electro-penciled and others might be dot peened or such.

All the numbers on the parts match and I have taken it most of the way down and still can't find any marks. Also there is a guy on gunbroker selling the exact same rifle and advertising the fact that there is no import stamp that he can find either. I will keep looking. What are the implications of no stamp??

Mine's from InterOrdinance, and I could not find tha stamp for a while either...

It is on the bbl, look under/between the bbl and the bayo, or under/between the gas tube and the bbl....up by the gas block...I'm at work now, but I'll check tonight for exact location.

Also, get the sling from Numerich gun parts with the front clip. the Yugo SKS spits a lotta hot powder crap out there at the front sling mount, and the metal clip variant sucks up the heat and grit well (shout out thanks to SKSlover for that tip).

219 for matching parts (not force matched with electo-pencil) is a nice price for unissued! I gave 179 for my refurb, which was a lotta new, or unused parts....force matched tho.
(My first Yugo I gave 120 for was a 'shooter's grade' which had a sewer pipe for a bbl--near as I could tell, you were supposed to stand back and throw the bullet down the pipe and it would bounce out the other end and *maybe* hit the target) :)
