CMP received my order 11/17/06, the rifle came 3/14/07. That's not quite a four month wait but I think it was worth it. My rifle is a 1944 with birch stock and walnut handguards. The handguards had a very glossy finish so I redid them and the stock with the 3-part handrubbing mixture of 1/3 each BLO, turpentine and melted beeswax. I think it has the original barrel and both it and the receiver are in great shape. What a cool piece of history! I'm honored to be the custodian of such a nice rifle and look forward to passing it on to my son.
