He's been covering his ass since these comments... He basically said there are some people who vote based on guns and religion. I'm not very good at political soapboxing so maybe some of you can help me out herre:

Of course Billary is saying he's an elitist "like she would never step on guns and religion...."

Here is what he said April 6, referring to people living in areas hit by job losses: “[I]t’s not surprising, then, that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
He was supposedly refering to people who are have a tough time economiclly

And THAT,my friends, is why Obama would be a horrible president. He doesn't have a clue what the average American thinks about anything.

Since he is a Harvard grad he has no real sense of the people, He says what his people think will get him votes and that is all.
I think if these people want to run our country that they need to take a year and live in all kinds of places in America, work jobs in those areas and TALK with the people who they want the votes from to show they can respect them all and their diverse views. Not sit in a big fine estate and DICTATE how they think WE should fit in to their grand scheme of things.......rant over.

How anyone could vote for someone from Cook County is beyond me.

Hey Nazgul, who ever thought Hillary would get nominated after what wild Bill did or the fact that they stole stuff out of the white house when they left???

Damn, I guess all of us religous, gun toting nuts are all on hard economic times. How does he explain those who can afford to tithe more than 10% & the class III weapons?
What a close minded, self serving, elitist, commie, bastard!!! What ever happened to all is talk of "tolerance"? What a 2 faced sum-bitch!! How people can even support this guy is beyond me.
We need some poetic justice done on that piece of crap!!

I wonder which of his relatives he is going to throw under a bus to excuse his remarks. I doubt he can use his Grandmother again.

when will people look at the numbers and think for themselves? when was the last time a legally owned gun (pistol, rifle, automatic, any!!!) killed someone and the shooting wasn't justified under self-defense? it doesnt happen!! legally armed citizens are not the ones killing people!
but no point in trying to convince you guys... u know that

when and where? stastically speaking, that doesnt happen. its mostly illegally owned guns, at least from the number's i've seen published.

See above edit. And that's just the local stuff from the weekend.
All I'm saying is don't fall into the trap of saying it never happens. Cause it does. But that doesn't justify banning all of them.

where does it say they were legally owned guns?
look, all i'm saying is that in pure numbers, the illegal ones, the ones who dont give a crap about law, are hte ones killing people, seeing legally owned guns killing people is alot rarer. i'm not saying it NEVER EVER happens, but comparatively speaking, its happens alot less

Maybe, but you did ask the question...
when was the last time a legally owned gun (pistol, rifle, automatic, any!!!) killed someone and the shooting wasn't justified under self-defense?
And the answer was...last weekend. Perhaps it would have been better to argue with some facts like I did. Especially if you ever go up against someone who doesn't agree with you in spirit like I do.

I work in a hospital and treat gunshot victims every week. I don't see the use in digging up shootings referring to people who lied on a purchase, or just blew a fuse and committed a crime with a legal owned firearm... The numbers of illegal firearm crimes vs. legal is just not even comparable... YES IT HAPPENS, LEGAL GUN OWNERS KILL PEOPLE... BUT COME ON... The number of illegal gun crimes far outweigh legal. But instead of worrying about getting killed on campus I went and talked with my college police department, showed them my CHL. They were "surprised" but very "impressed" that I came forth and asked if I could carry. Response: "keep it out of site..." We can't control everything that will ever happen in this world... If someone goes psycho on campus and kills people with a legally bought pistol, they would probably find a way to kill anyway. Ever heard of a bomb? Yeah, I think you can google how to make one. Lets be thankfull they aren't exploding buildings of people..... Now would you like to talk about legally owned fertilizer?

i agree 100%. back in the day, i was watching the news and one of the anchers went out and bought a .22 of a random KID, like 15 or so. $200 for a hot gun to use how ever. and watch gang land, history channel, hot guns every where. and for the 44 min Hollywood incedent, the d@mn judge from those guys earlier attempt gave them their full autos back. they attempted armed robbery. so why should law biding people be blamed that their elected "leaders" are dumbarses. Thank God Bush is on our side, otherwise this would be "internet site formerly known as militeryfirearm." :America:

What do you guys think, I'm not on your side? Just pointing out that we can't just throw out blanket statements. And that it is always helpful to have facts back you up.
