It is a factory /26\ has 3 chinese letters before the serial # which starts with 1021 - not sure if it's long or short lug, how do you tell??

looks like it was built in 1966.

the lugs are used to screw the barrel into the receiver, it will have 2 flat spots for a tool ( wrench) to fit on when screwing into the receiver. the short lug is about 1/2" long and made in china, the long lug is about 1" long and made in russia.

the Sino-Soviet stock will also be cut for a blade bayonet.

the rifle is nice looking for the year made.
good luck.
