Corrosive Ammo Nato?

I have some Nato 7.62x51 ammo from the 60's and 70's.
Did the Nato stuff ever come corrosive?

What about other 7.62x51, is any of it corrosive?

I have seen french & I think danish ammo being sold as corrosive. There are probly others but those are the only ones that come to mind.

i know that older s&b is corrosive.

I treat ALL of the "older" European, Asian and S.American mil surp ammo as corrosive.

I do believe some of the outlets will tell you it's NOT corrosive when they want to make sales and it may well be.

Just clean the action, bolt, and chamber with ammonia, Windex, hot water, 50/50 water and ammonia, etc. and things should be fine.

The biggest problem from there is those that don't ever clean their guns, LOL.

Nato by definition will not have corrosive primers.

This is the Czech Sellier & Bellot .308 ( non Nato). It is corrosive.
