hakim question?

is this cutout for a scope mount? if so i want one! the 4 holes are trapped so .... any ideas? here is the good side. i saved this one from a gun show, someone started to hack her up. animals!

I've never seen an original Hakim with a scope either.

One of my Hakims (I have 3) has a cut down stock also (bubba got hold of this one too). I've thought about adding an AK/PSL style rail to it just where yours has been cut and tapped and use a POSP scope on it. I wouldn't do this to a nice original Hakim, but in the case of this one, just as yours, you really aren't going to hurt it anymore than already has been done.

These guns are great shooters so if this is done properly it should work great. Without going to a $2k+ Yugo M-76 this would be a great way to have a 8mm semi scoped rifle on a budget.
