Welcome Triarii, I think I know what you are asking.
1. The Mars Cetme, imported from Spain from the late 1960's, currently sells for about $2500.00 when you can find them.
2. The Century Cetme, built here in the USA starting around 2000, currently sell for about $500.00-$650.

mars cetme is the cetme sport yes - it is called the mars cetme, because mars equipment corporation imported it to the united states from spain
how much in 1960s? $220.00
caliber of century cetme is .308 winchester or 7,62x51mm
they use standard military cetme parts to build these guns.
welcome

Is there a difference between the Mars and the military issue other than the military is full auto?
Was the Mars made semi or was it converted to semi?

Ok, Thank you very much to M1 Tanker and Perro.
Norton, Cetme B Sport Date to 1966.
landtoy80, the difference between the Mars and the military issue is full auto.
I think that the Mars was made auto and reconverted to semi. The next models to civil population was made on auto and reconverted to auto. Now in Spain there is a Cetme to civil population,Cetme CR (Reformed), is to same than Mars but in grey colour, caliber 307 and the magazine of cadtridges should be limited to 3, the price is 700€. On 2003 also there was other the same version but in original colour and the price currently sell for about 1000€-1800€.
I have just write a article about the history of Cetme, the article is in Spanish but if the people of this web know, I can sed It.

heres another - one important bit of information in this mars add - read it - notice what type of wood the buttstock is made out of - most think its poplar, the manuals claim it to be tropical walnut, and even this add says they are walnut ;)
plus an Armas article on your civilian legal .307 - i have many more armas articles if you need them since you seem to be doing research on them. If i can help, please let me know

Anybody who claims these stocks are Poplar has never handled Poplar extensively... Poplar is a very soft wood, and can be marked easily with a fingernail. I dont know about you guys, but my Stocks are as hard as any other stock I have on any of my rifles.
DEFINITELY a hardwood of some sort. The grain on my forestock look slike walnut to me... People look at it and see how plain it is, and think it cant be walnut as American walnut is very "grainy", and nothing like most of the walnut overseas in Europe. If you look at many K31s that are walnut stocks, you see the plainness of the European walnut. There are exceptions, but typically, European walnut is very boring, plain, straight grained stuff.
BUT it aint poplar, thats fer sher. Maybe somebody should make a Balsa wood stock set.
