Well I was at the gun shop today getting a bluing kit and wondered over to where the AK's were. Big mistake that was. They were getting ready to head out to the gun show this weekend in Raleigh NC and were packing up all there AK's. Well I got to talking with my buddy who owns the shop and he said they were getting scarce so I did the old impulse buy and picked another wasr 10 with 3 30 rnd mags sling cleaning kit for the grand total of 355.00 out the door. I guess that's not to bad (OUCH ). Was he correct in telling me that these guns are drying up?
Where can I get a US made slant muzzle brake? This wasr has the barrel nut welded on to the end of the barrel. I know I've asked this question here before, could I remove that by dremeling the spot weld and replace with a slant brake? And does the brake have to be US made?

The barrel on my Wasr10 had that nut on it, I took it off, and the barrel is too small under it for the threads.

My most accurate WASR only has a barrel nut on it. Thats how it will stay...

That is a fact. I hear talk like that. There's another thread going on just that subject. On the web it does seem like they are drying up, but who knows whats really gonna happen.

It seems impossible for such a thing as AK's getting gone .....but they're just not around anywhere.Maybe on line but not in the shops.
