When you guys solder the triple frame, are you soldering at the barrel, at the cocking tube, or both?

Barrel ONLY!

The cocking tube should be free to float, this keeps the barrel from warping when it gets hot from shooting. If the cocking tube were firmly attached, then when the barrel expanded from the heat and the cocking tube did not, then the barrel would warp.

Tinning is the word in the electrical field, I think. A good coating then put the frame on then a little more to finish. You are sure to have some inside to stick it all better.
BTW, what solder will you use? I've seen different types used from a 450 deg solder from Midway up to a true weld on my CAI. Just seeing what is easiest and/or best so can do mine. Silver solder is also recommended.

What percentage of silver do you use? Like 45% silver, or like the 15% Sil-Phos?

I was wondering what type of solder too... for the trip. Also, are we required to solder and/or pin muzzle devices? Don't want to do it :century: style if I don't have to. Thanks men!

consult your local and state laws regarding muzzle devices, there are no longer any federal requirements to permanently attach the flash hider or muzzle break unless it is required to meed minimum barrel or overall lenght requirements.

State and local laws vary.
