and by that i mean who we can get them from and for what price....like i know about orf...329 avail 5-29-08 or something. and supposedly you can just add sheetmetal to the original cut area, but that would be fugly.... so where else are receivers being sold.... and how long til htey become more common. everyone bought the kits, but not many are being built yet eh?

centerfire has single stack import receivers, but compliance parts have been hard to find, receivers have been spendy or not available with original magwell opening. ORF just started making the receivers. I am waiting to see how these turn out before I spend that kind of money. Try theakforum.net in the group buy section. and in the build it yourself forum.

I'm on the list for a VZ-58 receiver from ORF, and they have been very active on the ak forum, so I am very optimistic about them.

ORF is also gearing up to do a run on compiance parts. US furniture is also available at about the same cost as a US AK furniture set.

But one thing to keep in mind, if you file for an SBR, you won't have to worry about 922r.

I'm currently having some gas pistons machined, so that's at least one US part I won't have to worry about. If there is any interest in some US gas pistons, I can possibly do more at a competitive price. Time will tell if that demand will be there...

ORF has the compliance parts on their website now, though they won't be ready for awhile.

is selling the VZs in the US, calling them CZ-58s.

They want between 800-900 for them.

CZ did a wonderful job on them. They're making them new, and somehow they're sporterized so they can sell them in the US.
