Raise a toast to the brave soldiers of the US and UK (and its commonwealths) who hit those beaches and provided support from air land an sea for this important turniong point in the war.

Yup, today marks the 64th anniversary of the Normandy invasion. D-Day June 6, 1944 was the day on which the Invasion of Normandy began - commencing the Western Allied effort to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation during World War II.
A big salute to all those involved.
