Am I stupid or would it be a good idea to get rid/trade my SAR8 for a RockRiver LAR8?
Never shot a AR10/308AR. How does it compare to a HK91?
Dealer price for a LAR8 is just under a $1000.
How much are the SAR8's (legally converted to pistol grip config with JLD parts) going for?

Need to add, I have everything except a receiver to build a CETME...

IMHO, I would think the sar8 is worth more that that, as its not importable any more. I saw them going for over a thousand in a thumbhole config, as they are legit lic rifles. (this comment is for a steel receivered sar8, not the aluminum ones)

If an aluminum receivered one, it might be.

Its the steel import.

Its the steel import.

Hell no.

THe RRA LAR-10 hasn't been out long enough to get a feel for reliablity/durablity.

I have a feeling it's going to tank just like the BAR-10 that it came from. FN FAL mags are designed to work with the FAL receiver as part of the feed device.

I wouldn't trade it either, but I still want a LAR10.

Those Sar's are getting harder and harder to find, and I think will be worth much more than a PTR rifle in the long run. Built on HK machinery with HK parts...... tough to beat.

Keep your SAR8, you will be sorry if you trade it.

Keep the SAR08 as well. I missed out when Springfield was selling the HB version of the SAR08.
