Any of us out here in this geo-forum, this set of events is pretty nice. Cheap to get in ,cheap to free camping. Plenty of vendors on a smaller scale and plenty of rental guys. The pyro is free during the day, but you have to be fast on the trigger... :lol3:

And I'm a big cannon fan ! Check here > http://www.rmfcsa.org

Na wouldnt want to do that, heck its just like another day at work in some ways, burning thousands of lbs of propellant, high explosive scrap and forty pits of two thousand lbs of excess munitions each. Heck just another day at work, even makes the Fourth of July boreing. But still that does look like some fun.

A few more from my file, the web-site above has some nice ones from past years.

The Morgan County,CO shoot was great, but windy on Sunday. The May '07 Cheyenne Wells, CO dates should be great. The whole east of the state has been getting snow since Friday night. That means a no-tracer ban this May. But also the impact area is nine miles deep. What's Knob Creek 250yds? That's why the cannon guys around the US are hereing about this annual affair. Thin on the vendors and camping comforts, but the shooting is great. The County SO and the Vol Fire Dept are all behind it and all the mercahnts in town are okay with it. It makes everyone alittle cash in the Spring before planting/hay ops get going and the cattle move out to pasture. The Shoot site is huge.

Hey TaosBob101. Nice pictures you posted. Just wondering where the vendor areas are in relation to the firing line? Do you recall their locations from your past attendance?? I have some Black Powder mortars and cannons to sell in an effort to thin out my collection. I had gone to one of the first RMFCSA shootouts also NEAR Cheyenne Wells and it was an absolute blast. I believe the shoot is getting larger with each year of operation. I'm getting kinda tempted to rent a vendor space. Blaster (Bob in So. CO)

To the north of the firing line ,behind another long run of snowfence. Closer to the entance and the Operation trailer. Camping has always been behind that. The public has their own parking and campimg. Vendors/Shooters ( who have paid for their shoot spot) who have paid for their spaces have camp space reserved .

See the Line pic w/ the shooter/vendor park row w/ the "midway" in between. More ammenties this year ? More Potra-Johns, more ammo ven/parts vendors, more support from town in motels/cafes & good bar support. Gas & other food in town.

Many thanks for that information Bob. It looks like the vendors CAN park and sell right out of their trailer/truck if they want to. I was hoping that we (vendors) can park immediately next to or right behind their wares so they won't have to removed them each night to prevent their disappearance (wow, who'd have the balls to swipe something at a live M.G. shoot?) Now, if I can just communicate with the contact for the vendor space, I'll be happy. You plan on being there?? Thanks. Blaster (Bob in So. CO)
Here's just one that I plan on bringing to sell -

Anybody else going to this one????? Of course, it's not exactly the Creek, but there'll be plenty fire, smoke and noise.

Yeah, there was plenty of: noise, fire, gunsmoke, communicating with friends and W I N D... Was a great shoot but could have certainly done without the nasty persistent wind and dust storm. Ah well, next year it'll be even better.
