KT-1911/P50 Kit - This is our new KT-1911/P50 (.50 cal) available only through KT Ordnance. It's a 1911 on steroids; it fires a 275-grain bullet at 1400 to 1700 feet per second. This is pure stopping power.

I wonder what it looks like from the muzzle end, I know that its 1/2" but the slide has a very tall profile.

Seriously strange, here's a quote from their site:
"While we are required by law to accept FRN's (FRN = Federal Reserve Notes), we prefer to accept payment in gold and silver coins.
As an added incentive, we offer a discount on orders paid with Gold/Silver Eagles.
Our monetary denomination for Gold/Silver Eagles is the face value (fv) of gold and silver coins as described in the Constitution.
Payment can be tendered in Gold/Silver Eagles or FRNs.
SILVER Silver Eagles - $1 fv (1 oz.)
GOLD Gold Eagles - $50 fv (1 oz.), $25 fv (0.50 oz.), $10 fv (0.20 oz.), $5 fv (0.10 oz.)
SHIPPING - Orders of 1-8 items add $1 fv or $15.00 FRN for shipping and handling fees.
Orders of more than 8 items please contact us for shipping fees.
Places to purchase coins, most accept credit cards and will drop ship:
www.kitco.com
www.midasresources.com
www.eldoradogold.net
Our recent price increase is due to a 60% hike in metal/delivery(fuel) costs."
They say they only "prefer" gold and are required to accept Federal Reserve Notes (US Dollars). Really weird

A little sketchy I'd have to say, good catch.

And read this directly from their site: "Due to a recent misunderstanding of PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy on 80% frames, an innocent mistake on our part, our account was terminated and all funds seized for 180 days. We received no warning. We would have removed all the items that were in question if they simply said, "these items cannot be sold with our services". We are now no longer doing business with eBay/Paypal..."

Guys, have you herd of a postal check? You can get a gold boullion or silver check and send it to him, that is all. The check will be for so many dollars, what the going rate of silver or gold is. So, you'll get him a check for 3 dollars 50cents silver (or the rate of the day)
Our dollars are worth nothing, look at the stock market. Richard is only wanting real money, not federal reserve bills backed up by absolutly nothing. You can get these at any local bank.
Richard is making remington 700 receivers for the federal Govt.last I herd. His stuff is in your hands, you shooters and snipers. He is a good man. If you have any questions ask him and he'll explain anything to you if you want.
Now, I can't wait to check this thing out.

but he has a strange way of wanting to do biz with his potential customers...
if its more hassle than its worth to deal with him, then most of us aint gonna buy it.
that said: there is nothing on his site that answers the 50GI question or if his is ANOTHER 50 cal brass and load... thats my main question.
would you happen to know this part?

1 ounce of gold = $50? I'll take all he has at that rate!
275gr at 1400fps. That should take two people to rack the slide with the spring it's going to need.
Looking forward to your reports.

...for a question that was never asked. (Thus is the way of marketing!):icon_biggrin:
I'll stick with the .45...no target I might shoot will notice the diff between 1000 and 1400fps, or 230gr vs 275 JHP.

So how is a postal check any different from a Federal Reserve Note? They're both SUPPOSED to represent a certain ammount of gold/silver, but if you dont have the actual metal in your hand, it's still just a stupid piece of paper.
I think this country should go back to the barter system. Crime would go down, and productivity would go up. Unfortunately, it's hard to reckon how much electrical work equals fifteen gallons of gasoline, or a pound of ground beef. We COULD go back to using coin, however. I have a leather bag full of dollar coins. Susan B Anthonys, The ones with the Indian girl who's name I know but will not attempt to spell but you know the one I'm talking about, and a few of the new Washingtons, and that, from what I understand, is REAL money. Gold and silver coin needs to make a comeback. I think the economy could be saved, but it would take people giving up their convenient paper money. That's the problem in this country, anyway. Make something more convenient, and we wont bitch about the fact that the cons outweigh the pros two to one...

Susie B's, Indian Woman, Presidential dollars, Kenedy halves etc are are vlaueless as metal. If there isn't silver or gold in them they're metal shims.
And if we went back to the gold standard other nations would turn in our toilet paper money and take our gold and silver. Same as we would theirs if they went gold.

you cant eat gold.
and you cant eat lead....
but if you got lead (bullets) you can get food.
i do trade ammo for lots of things, its a REAL currency.

the check allows them to get the amount of gold listed...
if you pay...say 900 (or whatever the rate now is) for an ounce of gold, his check says 1oz gold on it, and you pay 900 for that check
next week, gold might be worth idk, 910...or 890...who knows, but either way, hes getting an ounce of gold for that check.

KT, had some issues with atf(got raided), a while back, 2006, I beleive I read that they claimed they had atf approval for 80% receivers, but never had a letter(not sure if there is really such a thing) and if you read, they are selling everything as a 60% receivers and such.
