Source 4 AK mags...

I have a buddy with a WASR10 who is wanting some mags. Who should he order from? CTD has some it looks like, but where d you buy them? WHat are good quality mags?

Steelcore, In my opnion they are all going to be simular, if you get your hands on military surplus mags, not us made. I find most of mine at gunshows, Just get the steel imported ones, not the plastic or thin steel us made ones.

thanks. ANother buddy of ours got a Yugo UF anf got the plastic mags...they really bind up and swell laterally. they definielty suck. The mag that came with the rifle fired flawlessly thru 400rnds...and that was fun!

I got mine from Copes, along with a polish mag pouch. One mag looked almost new, the other was as good but with some very slight surface rust. the mag pouch looked untouched. They ship quickly too.

The advantage of buying at a gun show is that you get to inspect the mags before you buy them.

SPG has 12 for $75ish...I got another doz two weeks ago for a friend. they are mixed "used" but all work great. I need to soak them in diesel for a few hours to get the heavy wax like cosmo off some of them.

got 12 for $70ish from sportsmans guide. Greasy, scratched but they all work and they are ribbed.
