Militaryfirearm family,

Lately our moderators have had to step in and lock/delete a few threads in here. In one instance, someone got temporarily banned. So there is no confusion, let me make some things clear about this forum.

Racism will not be tolerated on this forum. If you have a problem with a race of people other then your own, this forum is not the place to share it. Take it somewhere else. There have been times at Cetmerifles.com political discussions got so bad, we banned all of them entirely. Perro would get so pissed he would be ready to shut the forum down over it. People are never going to agree on religion and politics and sometimes it becomes a pain in the rear to moderate. I do not want to ban political discussion on this forum, but I want us to use some common sense. Just like I will not allow people to post porn, I will not allow any racism. If you want to discuss that stuff, I'm sure there is a place on the internet you could get some ignorant people to agree with you about why this race is better then that race.

If this isn't clear, please feel free to PM me, email me or post right here in this thread.

i didnt really see anything racist there and was wonering what was going on, untill i got to the last post and saw the "naughty bits" were deleted.

anyway, i think youd be crazy to think the anti's dont check out these sites for ******** to use against us. just think of how many people here and on other boards troll DU, or get email alerts from the brady campaign. do you think theyre not doing the same???

i think it helps to realize that before any "off color" remarks are made.

I find this to be a very fair and balanced site, with out a lot of extremism on either side. The SKS board is very similar. If you want an example of the bad end of the spectrum just visit the Gunboards RKBA/Grumpy old Men/Minefield :icon_neutral: If you are not a redneck bible thumpin' hetero Republican you might as well just give it up :blink2:

The moderators here have taken a sensible course, imho.

I'm now just about persona non grata at my former fave AK forum. The rascist bullies--the ones who think the only answer to some of our current government's policies is armed, violent revolution--have taken over and pretty much shred everyone who posts anything reasonable that conflicts with their opinions.

It's a shame too, cause imo it was once the primo site for AK build info.

Probably the same site I have issues with. Their Marketplace is great but the froums ... jeez... I used the word "spooks" meaning spys and I was instanlty grilled for using it. They spent 2 days discussing the fact I made a racist comment and I was not even in the conversation! Never anything like that here...

I think I know which forum that is also. Was one of the first firearm forums I joined and its slowly degraded and I usually only stop there to look through the marketplace.

I have seen of amazingly offensive topics there and its basically an online war. You have the racist bigots posting and arguing with the members who are against racism but it ends up being an ugly topic brawl.:icon_confused:

Yep, you can read some pretty off the wall stuff there. Definite signs in some of the more prominent members of serious delusion and paranoia.

Nevertheless, I'm in favor of free speech, if only because, when idiots show their arses, it instantly helps you spot them.

the place you guys have here is the best run most down to earth forum i have been on, i have been on other gun boards including car and motorcycle ones, but most of those sites already had problems, problem people or were fastly going down hill. and what i have seen on here so far is great, if someone ask a question or post something they have just bought, they dont getted flamed for it or a fanboy group jumps them and starts telling them how wrong they were for buying that kind.
really nice place here, glad i found it and joined. i have learned alot and hope to learn more. :thumbup:

imo, whenever i read that, it just comes off as kind of ignorant to me. probably just the way im inferring it. i know i have already told ppl asking questions to read the stickies, but its usually something like " i remember seeing a thread on this somewhere, i think it was in the stickies, you might want to check there" trying to be helpful. who knows, maybe some infer that as sarcasm and rudeness to.

Very well done, I was born in Cuba and where we like or not, we all have our bias and stupidities. I find my self-stupid sometimes when someone ask me “Our you from, insert country here, and I quick to deny “ no! I was born in Cuba” like it was an offence been from some other Country. If I act like that, what can I expect from others?
