I dont know if its anything bad, you would be suprised how many of the national ammo dealers that have sold Indian ammo.

i remember the first time i saw indian ammo at the gun show it was like 3 bucks for 20 i think? somethin ridiculous i started chuckling and told the dude not to sell it looking at crooked bullets and he didn't care then i stopped laughing

Know it's an old post. But,,, It seems like there is Indian ammo and Indian ammo. The Indian factory's used to use British managers until the mid-sixties. Then they decided to self manage. That's the "Bright-line" when quality control began falling.. At least from reading some of the history of the munitions and firearm manufacturing in the country. So, it really depended on the year and lot's of the manufacturing. So, I guess it really depends on your willingness to risk, or you can demill 20 or so, spec them out, then try to chronograph another 20 or so, in a heavy bolt gun, before using them in a cherry pricey battle rifle autoloader.
