when you discard the hammer pawl, what happens to that spring that goes on it. does it just go in the same place minus the pawl? also when you remove the saftey sear, what fills in the gap that the thickness of the sear took up. do i have to make a little spacer, or just leave it the way it is. I just got my parts kit today and am a little disapointed with it. the front hand guard is broke and cracked and in overall pretty ruff shape. I will have to buy a us stock kit. speaking of which, what is the best way to get the stock off the rear trunion?. It looks like it was stamped on around the wood. will I have to cut it off?

on the rear stock, take off the buttpad. you will see a really large slotted screw. use a very large screw driver and alot of muscle to loosen it up. its very hard, mine was seized and i ended up cutting the old wood stock to peices.

thanks, worked great. I thought those holes were stock savers and did not even think to look in them. do you know about the part that gets discarded from the fcg that is where th cut out will be? do i just remove that thing and the safty sear and make the mods to the other components?

IGF also makes a US made muzzle brake which actually looks like the original flash suppressor for $35. These look and work great. I have one of the press on muzzle brakes on one of my PTRs and I love it.

sorry to hear that, i guess its just another b.s. law. If it has those items it might just be more lethal. what a dumb law.
