These are everywhere for under a c-note,but usually rebuilt many times over since WW2,counter bored or frosted, and stamped with a BILLBOARD of info on the receiver. So imagine how elated I was to find this puppy! It's a '45 dated Isvanesk(sp) in what appears to be non-import marked non-reworked condition.Bore is immaculate,no counter bore. The old timey shop I found it in had it and what appears to be an original Russian Army cap w/it,for $120 OTD,no paperwork,as they were selling it on consignment.May be a bringback rig too.I've had it out of the stock and NO cosmo or import marks of an kind appear. All #s match and still has the CCCP circle stamp on the early style stock.I put a spare sling on it I had,as the original was missing. I shot it about an hour ago at my inlaws farm fields, and man, what a FIREBALL! Hit and disintegrated a cinder block at @100 yrds too.I've owned the longer 91/30s before, but this shorty rocks! 9524

Nice. Bore looks immaculate. Take good care of it and it will last another 100 years. Well, maybe...

The star device is usually red,so I found out the green one signifies a combat subdued field model from the WW2 era,AND Jude Law has a green one on his side cap on my Enemy at the Gates dvd box,heh.....

Heh,yea, has that "March to Berlin" look and smell to it,not the usual,"popped outta the Century Arms crate last week" aura. The CCCP stamp is the kicker, these are like Nazi Eagles and Jap. mums, usually sanded off by post war rebuilds,,,

yours has the early bayonet on it. very good find. i like the battle field ( not refirbished) rifles very much.
i have several of them 1944's and 1945's. all of my are import marked. i don't plan on doing anything to them except some day clean them up a little.
