A guy I know has a 1911 that he says he will sell me for $100.00 but he says it needs a magazine.

I dont know much about these rifles so I was wondering if it was worth it and how hard it would be to find a mag???

$100 is a no brainer. Buy that right away.

check out www.swissrifles.com in their forum section, and a guy there by the name of Guisan has many parts for all the Swiss straight pulls, and he may be able to get you a magazine. if not, I bet someone in the straightpull section could guide you to one though it may be aftermarket.

BTW, is it a K11 or a 1911? If its a K, I hate you........ I've always wanted the carbine, and haven't even seen one for sale in Austin before.

edit: here is Guisan's e-mail addy. He took a lot of his stuff off his minishop online because of exchange rates and such (he's in Switzerland), so just e-mail him what you are looking for and he'll tell you if he's got it and how much $$.

I went to the link and the way I read it the gun is 295.00. So 100.00 is a great deal on the one your looking at. I'd snatch it up soon.

The only mag I can find was sold and it was $69.00 before it sold. Does anyone know if a K 31 mag can be made to fit the 1911???

seriously, post over at swissrifles.com. Those guys are a good group, much similar to this one, and they know EVERYTHING swiss. Very friendly and knowledgeable the SRDC bunch. I spent many a week over there, but I grew tired of talking about nothing but swiss guns.

The K-31 mag will not work in a 1911 or 91/11. Sorry.

It is going to cost you at least $50 for a magazine. As was suggested, head over to the swissrifles.com website for all the info you could ever want.
