Pick up one of these if you see them. Mine is very accurate. And the sound of the bolt is louder then the report of the 22 going off....

Where'd you get that?
As for using a .22lr to train with....man, it woul be a surrise for a recruit to use that in basic, then hit the field with the reel deel! :)

Yea, where did you buy that, that's cool, nothing like going from .22lr to 7.62x54r to blast you into reality!

I got that one at Nassau Guns in St Charles. I paid less then a M44 costs, but I don't think they are that cheap anymore. This one is C&R because of the date, but I don't think they are specifically listed.
I think that Military Gun Supply in Fort Worth is selling these....or at least they were...

There were several at a local gun show last month, but at a price of 225.00. Very nice but too pricey for me.

Well, I could swing that...225USD might be pushing it.
What a neat addition to a Mosin collection, tho! I'll keep an eye out, see if I can get one sometime.

Wow that's neat...I'd go $225 for one that nice. That'd be one way to go Mosin shooting without feeling like you got beat up the next day.
