Thinking about buying a Hesse HK91, could use some feedback. I have heard that Hesse was not the best at many things( I believe they are Vulcan now) but how were they with this rifle?

Just depends on the rifle. Get a set of feeler gauges and measure the bolt gap for starts. Check out the general fit and finish of the rifle and make sure it functions well. If something is wrong, it can be fixed. Let your conscience be your guide.

What Ive read just lately, after a member of another board mentioning his Hesse H91 is that those rifles are kind of a mix and match of stuff.... some were Cetme parts kits built on G3 receivers... some G3 kits... General concensus is that the receivers are even worse than the Century ones, but all issues can be addressed.

Depending on the cost, and exactly what it is, and what shape, Id almost say youd just be better off with a cetme... especially if its a Cetme parts kit build.

Thanks for the input, probably get a cetme receiver and build this kit I've been shuffling around in my shop, then. My only issue was compliance parts.

compliance parts aren't that hard to find, you can get 4 parts by switching to a g3 fire control group and using 4 us parts in it. you can get those from ptr91k inc.

Hesse G3 = junk! Please don't ask how I know.
