I was just wondering if you ever get tired of answering stupid, or the same questions about CETMEs over and over?

I usually point out stickies or other forum posts to folks.

I don't think any question is stupid. The same old problems do get old but then that is about the biggest topic starters you can have on Cetmes made by CAI.
I actually noticed once everyone had their Cetmes running right chat on the forums die out pretty fast. They are not like other mil surps where guys can compare cartouches, or variants. They are all the same, you either got one that works, or you got one that needs fixed.

Only when it obvious that someone didn't read the stickies or do a search. A lot of people read the info and still need help....and thats completely cool. I don't mind helping out at all. Thats what it is all about :)

Actually once the info gets posted, most people are able to find it by searching.

It is uaually only when the site gets wiped out that we wind up having to answer a LOT of questions.

I also find that more and more members chime in with all the right answers usually before I get a chance to reply, and that is GREAT because it means that we are getting the information out to others who are helping out the newbies rather than just waiting for someone else.

Here's to you guys!

I agree with you guys... But....! I love the newbies! It means that more people are thinking about zombies!:zombie:
This is good!:icon_razz: I look foreward to helping a man that is looking out for his little boy in his room when Dads CETME closes on his pinkie (ouch!), trying to extract it at 11:00 at night with the wife trying to see what the "great hunter" is doing this late at night!:icon_razz:
I love newbies.:g3:

Never get tired of answering questions as that just means that we have a new member on the forum and he needs help. I point them to the stickys when possible, but a lot of the newbies just want a little assurance that what they spent their money on can be made to work.

Century told me that they built over 50,000 of these so you all know that the odds of the majority of those being good rifles without problems is very slim bordering on none. The guys with the kits need help as well because I think the majority of us can agree that we just bought a rather completed "parts kit" from Century.

Besides, I learn something every time I read these posts as the new guys can come up with some different ways to fix things.

I am enjoying the fact that we are allplaying a part in "turning the tide" on everyones mind that Cetme's are pieces of junk. Many people in the rifle world, specifically the Hk world, think that Cetmes are worthless pieces of crap, and 1 by 1, we are all changing people's minds.... the prices going up are a direct indicator that the rifles are VERY salvageable, no matter how hard Century tried to botch them up.

I got lucky and got a rifle that needed no work whatsoever to be a GREAT shooter...... but in reading and studying up, I am able to relay information that Ive learned on this site and others to people who are new to them.

I know from experience the feeling of thinking you just bought a piece of crap, then the feeling of being reassured that any problems can be fixed. I and many other guys here (if not all) try to answer questions really quickly so that nobody is left hanging. Thats one of the reasons I really like this forum... No question goes unanswered like some other forums out there.

No bad attitudes here like a lot of other sites. I appreciate that. Also I don't see any threads degenerating into flame wars either.

I agree! Cetmerifles was one of the friendliest, most informative gunboards out there, and quickly became a favorite of mine. I'm glad to see that that same spirit has been carried over here, although with most of the folks from cetmerifles finding their way over here it isn't that much of a surprise!

Welcome to the CETME collective, resistance is futile. You will now be assimilated!

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask, and regret later. :)

The old adage that sez "there's no such thing as a stupid question" is especially appropriate here, since the hammermonkeys at Century never get tired of inventing new, stupid ways of doing things.
