My one and only time to go to the theatre in New York was to see George C. Scott in Inherit The Wind. It turned out to be his last full performance of that or any other play. He became ill the next night and was replaced by the producer, Tony (The Odd Couple) Randall. The magnificent Mr. Scott died about 3 months later.

To see such magnificent men from a by gone era up close and personal in a powerful Broadway performance is priceless.

Now the above comment about being not dead, but unemployed reminds me of the game show "Remote Control" where they had the catagory of "dead or canadian"
