why other forums arn't as good as MF

so, being sick the last few days, i've been perusing some other gun forums and i gotta say.... i really dont like most of them besides this one. the only other one i check on a regular basis, besides this one, is The High Road. But even that one is meh... this one seems more like a "family" and..... i dont know how to put it, but i gotta say, thanks again for making this such a good forum guys.


also, anyone know of any good forums i might not have found (they dont seem to be easy to find). i go to the sig forum, but it doesnt cover just sigs, in fact, it seems that there are less sigs than other stuff.

i must say though, some of the others do seem like one big "family" but it seem to be someone elses family, and if you arent in the "clique", your really nobody.

ive never felt "put out" here.

i found out about this place from the ak forum, but i rarely visit there.

i spend most of my time on gunsnet.net actually. i like it there, but i have to agree, its nothing like this site. more like a big dysfunctional family :D

i was gonna start a new post next week marking the end of my first year with a cetme.

i bought my cetme 1 year ago next week.after searching and searching for info and help on what to do and how to do it, i ended up here.
now 1 year later i am still here.i have joined other forums,just for one post because of the info i needed from them,went once or twice then never again.
i joined here planning on useing the knowledge to get my cetme in order,after getting into some of the other forum threads and sharing stories and ideas,this forum has become another home for me.

thanks to the admin for making and keeping up the forum.
thanks to all the members here that make it more enjoyable to be a part of.

really - i found you guys the day i brought "the" cetme home, and i've been here ever since. what a wealth of information and friendly help. it's resulted in other purchases, and sending off for my c&r.

This is the only gun site that I visit everyday. There are a few single brand specific forums that I go to for info on old Remingtons, Smith & Wessons, Winchesters, CZ's and such when I am looking for help on some of my older non-military pieces. But, for battlerifles, MG's, SMG's and surplus rifles of any type THIS is the place to be. I always find courteous help and humor here and I relish the opportunity to offer some of the same when I am able.

I have not seen any other place as friendly or informative. I don't post a lot, some boards I have not been on in ages. When I need answers I come here, when I want to know what's going on the world, all I need to do is top by here and get a realistic sense of what is going on.

So for me Cheers, may every board out there try and be this great.

Sums it up pretty well for me too....No matter how much you know or don't know, it's always good to share ideas and problems, without fear of being treated like a pest or intruder into a secret society of know it alls. Have never been real big on these sites, because of the underlying problems DAA1 referrs to. But all the guys/gals here are A1 in my book. Even if they do post the ocassional really sick and twisted videos.....:icon_biggrin:

I have to say, Ive been here since the Cetme board. And not to get all sappy, but the CETME board and its members got me through a very hard time when I was away at school. I have met people on here that I consider honest to god friends, that have integrated into my real life and I am grateful.

So, my point....I may act like a "see you next tuesday" sometimes, but I know I have a home here...and I can't say that about many places.

I've gotten to meet (face to face, real meet) four fine young men (Texican, Rexican, Dpoe and of course Henry) because of this site. They have given me hope for the future of the USA. It is easy to think this country is going down the tubes but there are still some "good" college students that will carry on the traditions of this great Country.
