Does the headstamp say tcw or what? Some research says, its Tula Cartrage Works, not sure if its good or bad though.
Other wise it sounds like, commerical russian .223 ammo, I think that Tula makes Wolf.
Locally, the best I've seen TCW Lead Core, Copper Plated Steel Jacket 62gr going for was $3.75 a box, but up here it can be more than south of the Mason Dixon.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same as Wolf. Do they have a glossy lacquer finish or a matte polymer finish on them? That is a factor in their value, at least to me.

It's trash ammo, if you mail it to me I'll dispose of it for you for free. :1087: J/K I'd love to have it, but I'm broke. :(

it is glossy lacquer finished.
Everyone has an opinion on Wolf ammo and not all agree, but from my point of view, the glossy lacquer is not as desirable as the matte polymer finished stuff. That doesn't mean the lacquered stuff is un-shootable, just not as desirable. When I first saw your post, I figured it would be the older lacquered stuff. That's what I based my offer upon that I PM'ed to you.

Turobthis, if you were feeding a 223 ak, it would be ok, I have read that some say the steel is hard on some of the parts on some rifles(extractors and fireing pins if tough primers) and maybe rougher on some of the aluminum parts on an ar. I have a case of wolf some where and have fed some of it thru the ar, so you milage may vary.

The steel case isn't that big of a deal, but the laquer will clog AR's pretty quick and is a bitch to clean. I shoot a ton of steel case ammo and have noticed no unusal wear but, I won't shoot the laquer stuff because I hate cleaning already.
