I guess this belongs here cause it is a rifle made by a com bloc country.
I found one of these interesting rifles for 399.99 in decent condition, looks to be mostly handling wear and tear. It is still chambered in 7.62x45 which of what i read means that its one of less then 5000. The first 5000 made where in the x45 caliber, and then with pressure they updated the design to the X39 caliber. And some of the x45 rifles where rechambered to x39
IS this a good price? what do you think?

That is about the average price of the ones I have seen over the years (past 6 or 7). They are great shooters but the ammo is rare and getting rather expensive.

MID, the first five thousand were made by Povážské strojárně Povážská Bystrica, but then production was taken over by Česká Zbrojovka Uherský Brod.(they didnt change caliber just manufacturer as the first maker could not meet the demands) I believe there were far more than five thousand in 7.62x45 though, infact more hit the shores here by far than the 7.62x39. I am just not sure how many as they converted the 52's to 57's but not all of them.

This is another one of those rifles I wish I had bought when first here. Thats one long list too.

Good for collecting, not so good for shooting as the ammo is pricy and no longer in current production. You can find it, but like I said somewhat pricy.

I bought one just because it was odd, bout the price I paid for mine. I did shoot a few rounds through it, not a rifle I will be taking to the range very often if ever for a long time.
