Hi folks. Yeah, just another noobie checking in although this noobie is gonna be 71 years old this year. I have had, in the past, three or four HK 91's and three CETME rifles along with many other types of guns. Got rid of them for something else and just wound up with another CETME over the weekend at the Wanenmacher Tulsa Gun Show. Geez, I forgot how difficult it can be to reinsert those two take down pins. Glad I have a rubber mallet.
Anyhow, I attended the Small Arms Repair School in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD back in 1956 and have been "into" guns ever since. Of course, I'm retired and have found the perfect location (for me) in Southern Colorado just about a half hour from the NRA Whittington Shooting Center. That's one of the main reasons for our moving out here after retiring while living in Naperville, IL.
Enough of the idle chatter from me, now I'm going out to see if I can get those damn pins to work in/out a little easier out of this cast receiver which does NOT have a ground bolt. Thanks for reading this..Blaster (Bob in So. CO)

Many thanks for really making me feel welcome here. Seems like a great bunch of builders/shooters here on this web site. Just sent for my John B. McGuire 1919A4 this afternoon. Now I'll be watching for the UPS truck to make his delivery. Again, thanks!!

Gladta have ye.
" get those damn pins to work in/out a little easier"
-->A few things that can help (as in "worked for me"): Look for any burrs on the inside of the buttstock ass'y that might be catching on the back of the receiver, then file them off.
The thing that really helped was spraying some Birchwood Casey's "MolyLube" on the inside of the buttstoc assy, and the extreme end (outside) at the rear of the receiver that is covered by the buttstock assy' when the rifle is together. The moly really makes it slide on and off since it cuts down on the friction nicely.
