That type of bending over to Islamic Fascist is happening all over the world and even here in the U.S. I was listening to FOX yesterday and in England they have stopped teaching about the Holocaust because it may be offensive to muslim students who are taught to hate Jews. It's unfriggin believable what the world is coming to. :gang1: :hammer: :gang1:

Just remember some times the law can be a double edged sword, the protection of religion, for good and bad can be used in many ways.

Remember the pilgrims who came here for "religious freedom" didn't come here for everyones, in most colonies there were enforced state religions, thus the pilgrims didnt care one bit about anyones religion but their own(thus why after harrasment in england they came here).

most if not all RELIGIONS are secular or exclusive in their beleifs.

WE beleive this or that and WE will be the ones going to heaven.....

that is why I do not trust religion as a whole, and also why most religious leaders are able to gather their flock. It makes them feel special to think that they are different or better than others.

that is my opinion anyway.

Im gonna have to ask you for a source on that, for I believe it to be bullshit in the extreme.

The laws in Europe regarding the holocaust are so hardcore, that if you deny it, or challenge it in any way, your ass goes to jail.

For a long time.

"German woman judge has refused a Moroccan-born woman permission to file for divorce by interpreting the Koran as allowing husbands to beat their wives."

The real crux is that in say, the US, a Judge does not have the right to interpret religious doctrine, they use existing laws to rule how a case should go. In the US, this Judge would/could/should be disbarred. A secular interpretation of a religious text?

Be glad you're an american.

Secondy, LorDiego, you'll have to read this, this is what jlpskydive and I are talking about: A link to the article and my thread in the History forum
called "History is not a vehicle for promoting political correctness"

Oh, and +1 Rusty. It is still my hope that this whole new war we're in will let ppl see the dangers of dogmatic righteousness and elitism brought about by monotheism, and we can get back to some good ol' fashion virtuous heathenism/paganism or secular non-theism or even some polytheism...which the classical world seemed to do just fine with... Beware of gods who cannot laugh.

That may be true, but not in the UK(not sure if the British consider them selves really europian but thats another debate). The UK is much like here, you may not agree with the free speech but you have the right to express it.

Yeah, due to the Nazi use of old cultural symbology of the germanics, ppl in Deutchland can't use the fylflot (sunwheel=swastika), the Sig rune, the Othal rune, the Tiw rune, and a few others, dure to their use by the SS, Nazis, and Hitler Youth movement. Part of their old culture is esseintially outlawed due to its misuse.

Also, the changed "Wodensdag" (Woden's Day= Wednesday, Woden is the german name for Norse war god Odin) to "Mittwoch" (Mid week), which is funny, since the nazis were really Christian based but used the old gods and symbols of the folk to inspire some sort of nationalistic racial purity BS...they sure did wreck it up goood.

Even KKK and other christian based fascist in the US appropriate these old germanic symbols, without the slightest idea what they're really for. Igonrance s bliss, indeed.
