I have a Russian SKS that is missing some original parts (blade bayonet, cleaning rod, magazine, and gas tube). Where do you suggest to get parts to restore this otherwise decent rifle? Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure that they are all the same give a take a tolerance or two.

all of the early china sks rifles were assembled from russian made parts. ( from 1956 up until around 1960-62) the china rifle were made on the russian machinery for a while.(the russians were going to the ak type rifle).
give me a couple days and i may have some or all of these parts.

I have used chinese magazines on my yugo, mine came without one(well it came with a thirty and I wanted to ensure c&r status so went back with a fixed one, and picked on up at a show.

As planning said, they should interchange, atleast the mags, there is some problem with the gas tubes on the yugos, due to the launchers, on the 59/66's. The albanians will have some unique parts, but if I had a russian I would try to keep it orginal, but there will be non matching parts, so it may not matter.

Planning... Do you have any Russian wood for the handguard? Back in the day, when I put on a synthetic stock on mine, I broke the handguard trying to get the pin out of the gas tube. I tried to find some replacement wood for it, but couldnt, so when I sold it to a friend, we put on some Chinese wood and stained it very close to the red shellac... but If i could get some Russian wood to go back on it, it would be original again... the gas tube is serialed, but the wood is not, so it shouldnt hurt any value as long as its the correct wood....... if you got any you can spare... let me know!

I have one of the metal shroud type covers too if for any reason youd want to trade.
