You asked for a reloading forum and I aim to please :pipe:

Disclaimer

Reloading is dangerous. Take what you read on the INTERNET about reloading with a grain of salt and do a reality check prior to attempting to reload. If you don't understand reloading, buy a book. We at militaryfirearm.com will NOT be responsible for the load information posted on this forum by the members here.

Yes, thanks for another pleasant diversion. I bought a Lee Load Master with .308 dies and look forward to wearing it out. I was reading and comparing loads, pressures and velocity between Richard Lees' Modern Reloading and Lymans 48th edition Reloading Handbook and noticed there was quite a bit of difference. Do some of you that have reloaded have a favorite text or just start at the lowest maximum and work from there?

Start at the lowest STARTING load. NOT the lowest MAXIMUM.

bataanboy, IMHO you should have a few manuals just to cover different load combinations of powder and bullets. Also if you do read them there is lots of usefull info all throughout the books that will answer lots of ???'s for most folks. Find a load book that covers the powder and bullet combination you want to use and start from the bottom. Work your way up .5gr at a time watching for sign of excessive pressure. Watch your OAL and the rest should be easy. :)

Tanker...thanks a lot.

I do have a question...how can we get the disclaimer to post on individual posts?

It's a great idea.

Sorry I misspoke previously. I meant to write lowest starting load. I'd hate to think I caused injury to someone by having a brainfart. Reloading can be a very dangerous pastime. I will be more careful in the future. Thanks for your kind rebuke.

Wow I must be tired. I thought it was something about the upgrades and I needed to reload my browser page. I'm going to bed now.
