Not without modification. The HB used a larger handguard retaining ring, however I have seen posts over on FALFILES where people have modified the HB handguards to fit. I think it involved cutting the rear of the metal to form tabs, and then bending them in to fit the smaller handguard ring. As to the buttstock, if you have an inch lower it will be more difficult. Depending on the finish of the handguards, you might order an L1A1 stock from Ironwood Designs (birch is pretty close grain-wise) and stain to match. I modified an Izzy HB buttstock to fit my L1A1...it required some carving and dremel work, though. The Izzy HB buttstock does not require the metal ferrule, so there was enough wood there to form into the L1A1 profile. I tried it with a light barrel buttstock, and it looked really bad.

Another thing about the HB buttstock, it uses a flip up buttplate. It might be difficult to find the pieces these days. I had lucked up and got the main parts from TAPCO, but have not seen anywhere lately. The pistol grip is from Ironwood Design, and is birch with a pecan stain. It is a pretty close match. I had tried bleaching and staining an Aussie coachwood grip, and it turned out pretty horrendous. Ironwood is pricey, but well worth it. One alternative that was recommended to me was to change out my inch lower for a metric one...I was stubborn, and had to do it my way.:icon_biggrin:
