Happy Bday Me!
So what should I do now that Im 21?
I've finished filling out my C&R paperwork and just need to get it sign by LEO. So now comes the decision of what to get with it. Im thinking CZ82/3 or maybe a PPK copy.
Oh yeah, whats the best reference for Enfield markings? Just got a No 5 Carbine.

What do you get?
A whole lot of fun, going armed and dangerous in public almost anywhere in Texas! :airtight:
Happy birthday, mate! I'll shout you a beer or three, when we meet-up sometime.
I'm not near my SMLE library right now, but there is a reference book on Jungle Carbines. Also, surplusrifles forum has some good info. And, of course, this is the font of all Military Rifle info tight here!

GO BIG or GO HOME
Go buy a modern hi cap pistol. They might be hard to get in a little while, go buy some beer and then stop at the strip club on the way home.
Might want to change the order some what.

Go buy a Glock 21sf for $550. 14 rnds of .45 and it will always go bang. Plus the new slim frame (sf) makes the 2x4 ergonomics of the glock actually as comfortable as my double stack 1911.

And get a couple of pounds of that nice TX BBQ brisket too.:thumbup::thumbup:
Some restaurants here claim to have brisket, but it's a lie. Those that actually have it, either
cook it wrong, or chop it up and dice it into fragments, and/or the sauce is all wrong.
And get a nice pistol.
And do not marry anybody, :nonono:any time soon:nonono:, if ever.:nonono::nonono::nonono:
While I can call or email my family in TX at any time, I cannot do the same with BBQ brisket there. I miss them both.

I concur with the brisket and texan beer, or mexican food and mexican beer.
First, I'd go to a nice big gun shop and try out every pistol they have in the case, see what fits you best and then start looking for a good deal on one.

and don't drink too much - aw, hell - who am I kidding - get slammed - 21st B-day is the best (and last true) excuse to go crazy - hahaha
For my 21st, I went right down to the courthouse in Everett and got fingerprinted for my CCL. My parents had just bought me a Rossi .357 Mag (4" SS) - and I was super anxious to start packin'...
Man, that was 17 years ago - seems like yesterday - Thing I remember the most, was that the window where you got fingerprinted was the same place they processed the "bad guys" - it was pretty intimidating, but very exciting at the same time. Criminals in cuffs waiting in line with little punks like me there to arm ourselves against folks just like them - the irony of it all... I've heard they have since split it up - aw schucks - I've got to renew soon...

OK here ya go: sign up for your local CHL class, go get yourself down to the local Academy store and git you one a dem dar CZ 75b's in 9mm or 40 S&W and then call up a good friend who can serve as the "designated" driver and then load up on BEER as you hit up the closest "ladies on a pole waterin' hole"!!!!:airtight::2pistol::icon_biggrin:

I handled one today, feels real nice, but I'm restricted to the $200 mark right now.
Shame MGS sold out on the CZ52 and now I'm having trouble finding one, all the major distributors are pretty much out. Anybody wanna sell me one?
Im going to get my CHL beginning of this next year, found a gunshop in DFW that does them for $130 and includes pistol and ammunition.
go to Lockhart and get yourself some BBQ after you get a S&W M29... yeah

Warsteiner, dude! Warsteiner! Oh, and a 1911. Or a Beretta M-9. Of course the 1911 is more powerful, and considered by most to be the better of the two, but dammit, Berettas are just so purdy... Plus they are excellent shooters AND alot cheaper.

So, reviewing the above thread we have:
drink beer
buy handgun
get chl
watch strippers
drink more beer
now, to complete the rite of passage, how about:
birthday cake
more beer
a tattoo
stagger into local armed forces recruitment office
Whatever you do mate, I hope you have fun!

Awww Hell!.....Nothing wrong with driving south with buddies and an overnight visit to a Mexican whorehouse..........Buy your guns after the party when you sober up....Then you can make a proper decision, or just head south again....Wish I were 21 again.
I would ignore this suggestion because it will turn you into a depraved and degenerate gun owner. Life is good. HBD and many more.

If he ventures south he won't have the money for a gun it will be spent on the drugs he will need to stop the leaky faucet if you know what I mean. Or worse he might leave something of importance south of the border depending on what disorder she might have! Happy Bday dude. I love my CZ52 make sure you look on top of the slide on the raised rib for small dots that have been placed there with a punch set. The more dots the less accurate it is. I learned the hard way and after replacing the rollers firing pin and roller cam, I finally got it shooting descent. Good luck and enjoy it, your 21st that is its the last one you will ever have.
