Well.. we are a 02 SOT/ 07 FFL and can build these into Post Samples legally so I don't want to give anybody the wrong idea. It is an original MAG58 that I will be upgrading to M240 specs with the correct flashider, upper handguard and lower handguard.

Still waiting on the right side plate but this will be operational very soon!

I pay a yearly tax of $500 to manufacture Post Sample weapons for demonstration. We do have to be in the business of manufacturing and not just having fun with full-autos. We have been producing some AK-series rifles and some piston-upper AR15 rifles.
ATF did stress to us that "manufacturing" is the key word with the 07FFL.

Ron

Nice ... shot one of those 20 years ago at an Australian Army range. Loved it! Way better than the M60 Pig.
I hope you keep us posted as you work on it!

Doc, that is awesome....I seriously thought about getting the $5000 kit, but didn't have a source on barrels. By far my favorite MG.

Hey Pero...
I was with the kids early that day and tried to get out of Church (I know.. bad Catholic:( ) and by the time I got home with all the running around I didn't want to call and wake you. I didn't think it would last the whole day.
We'll get it done eventually my man and just want to give a BIG THANKS for offering the helping hand.
thanks,
Ron

There is a guy in Reno, NV that has complete kits with intact barrels for $5K or you can purchase a barrel from DSA Arms for $500. Let me know if you need the contact for the Reno guy.

Ron

I LOVE the M240!!! As a tanker, we played with them a good bit. Before we deployed to Bosnia, we were issued the ground version. Those babies were NIB, and they were SWEET! My platoon ran the qualifying range for them, so we got to burn up the left over ammo.
