Ya really wanna screw with the future researcher's heads? Nickle plate a CETME with the proper logos on the metal, and add those first stocks, with a ser# of 00001. It will be billed as the FIRST production model presented to Franco himself.Your kids will be rich! Oh yea,we won't be allowed to have guns that far into the future...:airtight:

I can, but as you know, the problem comes in the shipping them to me. I am working on solving that problem though. It's time to expand from my local market. After awhile, you run out of local stuff to do....

I just had a thought. To play Devil's(ATF)advocate for a min, what are the legalities in ADDING manufacturing logos, ser# ect. to a firearm receiver? I know you can't remove one's already there,so I'm presuming this would be done on a virgin flat project? I've heard the alphbet boys recommend your name and a ser# added to one you build, but what happens if you put the official Hk logo and serial range on one instead? THEN,for further sake of argument, that gun gets touted as being a REAL $2500 pre ban Hk and sold down the road as such, presuming it was a quality build to begin with?

It's funny you should mention that, I am trying to finish a Frankencetme of my own that I am thinking of putting a satin nickel plate on. If I ever get a round tuit.

There are some patent and trademark infringement issues there for the HK. As far as the Cetme is concerned, the artwork on it belongs to the Spanish Gubberment, so It is pretty much like using a picture of their flag. I have done electrochemical etching and stamping of serial numbers for a few guys on their own builds. Anything other than stamping requires the receiver to be in the white to make it right. As far as a counterfeit job of any weapon, that just ain't right even if it was legal.......If you ever plan on selling a home build it has to have the manufacturers name and date on the receiver as well. I have an AK flat I'm going to electro etch for a guy before it's bent. When I do it I'll post it, since there seems to be some interest there as well.
:thumbup:What a post to wake up to, here I am thinking it may be a couple weeks until I see this posted, and here it is already done. Good thing I sorted out the parts this weekend to make these complete.
These look great, and Bladeworks does one heck of a job. The hardest choice was deciding which sets to get cut. I decided to keep the ones in the armors kit intact and use these spares so I could see the design in both the blond and the dark wood. The blond seemed a better choice for the detailed design, and the darker wood for the plain logo. Will take a little work on the dark set to get it finished like I want, but will make a good winter project.
Can't get over the amount of detail in these stocks, if Bladeworks keeps this up there is no limit to the possibilities. There are probably as many design ideas as there are folks here.
Thanks for the quick turn around, and for posting the pics for folks here to see. I don't think cetme stocks get better than this, so if anyone else decides to get something like this done I hope you share the pics so we all can see what other ideas are there.
Thanks again, GREAT JOB.

UBER cool! On the wood, did you sandblast that or router it, or what?
Can you do any design on a piece of wood?

It is laser cut,,,, the images have to be black and white or two tone, and they should be at least 300 dpi or better resolution. I do most of my own artwork so that I can get the edges and the detail as crisp as possible. These on DAA's stocks are cut in about 3/32 of an inch deep.

Send him a PM or email, he will get you a price, I shipped my to him in a flat rate priority mail box, so my shipping round trip was 19.60, plus the cost of the work. Your price may vary from mine, well worth the cost, took pics to the office today and folks were impressed.

Sorry for the delay in responding. I said in an earlier post that for members of this forum that were interested. I would do the Santa Barbara logo on the stock and the straight forearm design for $40 a set plus postage. If you want something more complex done, shoot me a PM with an e-mail address or phone number and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Jimmy....I took pictures, but the buttstock had the owners name engraved under it. Here, however is a pic of the forearm. The stock was a simple Hk emblem on the driver side of the stock together with his name underneath. If I get a breath from the catch up I'm doing on knives and other stock builds, I will have a bunch of pics added on my website. If you have an idea of something different you want or a design you would like to see, give me a PM, I can work up something unique for you.
will this work on plastic stocks also?

I will say yes, but I still have not received an answer about what type of plastic the US made Cetme furniture is. The laser does not work well on PVC. In fact it can be harmful to the laser due to the residue created by the burning PVC. It works well on the original Cetme or HK stuff which is made from ABS plastic. It also works well on composites and fiberglass substrates. Here is a pic of a Cetme grip. The pic is pretty crappy, the actual engraving is sharp and crisp.

Blade I still Have to get my furniture to you. It needs to be refinished. Should I do it before I send it to you or after??

Either way is fine, but I would recommend that you finish it the way you want it first. That way, the engraving is sharp and crisp and doesn't get rounded edges from sanding, finish build up etc. If you use a synthetic finish like polyurethane etc., be sure it is cured good before your mail it, so that it does not get stuck to packaging material in transit. Be sure to PM or e-mail me about what kind of design you would like. Also, In a couple of weeks I plan to have some Cetme sets in several different patterns done on new wood for sale, that I will post here first.
