The wife called home the other day and said there was a guy on the
radio trying to sell some guns and that I better check into it, she'd
buy one if I wanted it. I call this guy and ask what he's got and how
much, I call the wife back and head over to this guys house, seems
that his wife found out about the people killers he was hiding and told
him to lose them, so I found them, all three for $325. I thought it was
a good deal and the wife paid for them. I picked up the Yugo Mauser,
Yugo SKS and the M44. The .45 was already mine, I just tossed it in
the pic.
I wish those stupid dates would get off my sons camera, LOL.

Any two woulda been worth it, those things look clean and immaculately cared for.

Mebbe you'll hafte invite him shooting sometime...

I have a buddy who bought a WASR hi-cap at the last gunshow and snuck it into his house...if his wife finds it, she'll go ballistic...I agreed to buy it if the need arises...

Thanks guys, this gent also told me of a couple of more he has, still
hidden. He gets them and likes to smooth them up a bit and then rubs
6-8 coats of tung oil on them, then oils the crap out of the whole
rifle. He also showed me the neatest BB gun. It had an all wood stock
and looked just like an M-1 Carbine, you cocked it by pressing the
barrel back into the reciever and then pulling it back out to set it to
shoot. He said he got it at a yard sale for a buck, the barrel wasn't
pulled out to shooting position and the person selling it thought it was
broke.
He must have trusted me not to be a spy planted by his wife because
he showed me the ones he has hidden, LOL.

I was just fixin to say... they look sanded to me. Still very nice looking IMO, and a good deal on em all.

The SKS is worth probably $140ish, the M44 worth probably about the same... meaning you got the Mauser for $45! Not bad at all if you ask me.

Where you located, and/or is this guy looking to sell any of his other ones? And/or are you looking to sell that Yugo sks?????? I got a buddy who would probably snatch that one up in a heartbeat... really clean look to it.

The poor old guy is about 20 miles from me up here in Ohio, I doubt
he sells anymore unless his wife finds them and then he has been told
to call me first. I really don't want to sell anything but if the need comes
up, I will post them here first.

Getting on the radio to sell guns, that would NEVER happen here.
My wife would call and ask what station I was listening to, OK, STAY on that one.
GOOOOOD woman! Nice rifles.

Heck almost every day on tradeing post, the trading radio show locally there is some one or two selling guns. But you guys keep tellling me that most other places the PD and Sheriff's dont sell guns and they do that here too. :)

I had that same BB gun when I was a kid! It was a great gun, very accurate. My Dad mounted ancient Weaver K6 scope on it for me, I used to hunt doves with it, one day I got 15 doves with it! Of course I was shootin' them while they were sitting on tree branches and telephone wires! I don't have the gun anymore, but I still have the scope. :D
