Oven cleaner might bubble it off easier, it works to release cosomliene from wood, just use the bathtub while the wife is gone for sure. Atleast the guy who first got me into military stuff told me, he had hundreds of firearms that he had to clean the cosomoline off of. I wouldnt recomend it for metal, as It might remove finish for sure.

How did you come to pay only fifty bucks? I mean even misssing a bolt that is a super deal. I would love to have one to go with the CZ 52 pistol.
That and the Vz 58 are the Warasw Pack's bastard son's. It is still amazing that the carbine was built instad of the SKS.
Can anyone tell me the short version of how and why the Soviet Union let the Czechs built their own main battle rifle, carbine and pistol.
Instead of the AK 47, SKS 45 and the TT and for that matter they never had to build the Mosin carbine as the rest ofthe Warsaw pack did. The CZ 52 carbine is a bit of Cold War Triva that has always facinated me.
