Today I finished the trigger pack mods:jumping:

So far I have:
Demilled the kit
Had a friend tig weld the trunnion into the rec.
Notched and plated the trig. housing
Modified the original trigger components to semi auto only

Next up is the shelf for the grip frame so I can press in the barrel.

On the grip frame shelf, does it have to be the "L" shape, or could I just weld a horizontal piece in there?
I have some flat stock but I would have to go out and buy some material to make the "L", that's why I ask

I don't know, I just dremeled out two pieces from flat stock and tacked it in. Ground down the welds and filled in the seams with some JB Weld and smoothed it out and painted it. Looks like it was done at the factory.

Hmm, that's a good idea, I could do that.
Thanks!

This statement confuses me. The two have nothing to do with each other.

Secondly the shelf could be just a horizontal shelf, it may be more a little more difficult to weld, but would work not a doubt.

Because I was told that in order to check bolt gap properly it had to be after the trigger is pulled. So I want to have all the trigger related components installed in the correct place to do this.
And that is why I need the shelf in to press the barrel. :)
