anyone have or shot a Benelli Nova Pump? what do you think was it good/bad?

A high quality shotgun Alaska. I shot skeet, trap and hunted with a buddy's a few times. You can't go wrong with one.

Very nice gun and absolutely smooth when shucking shells. Reminds me of a nice old Mdl.12 Winchester as smooth as the action is. Get one and you won't regret it.

so is it better/worse than an 870?

I think its all about how you mount a shotgun...if it mounts for you, then its good. The "walmart" $300 870 Express is a cheapy, but reliable shogun. It is ugly with cheap wood, but is functional To compare the 870 to the Nova you need to step up to a 870 Wingmaster....which is a much nicer shotgun.

I think its a more advanced shotgun, but a pump shotgun is a pump shotgun when you shoot it.
