Check out this thread post#15. JFK from HK pro makes custom ones for JLD receivers. It is very nice.

Something like that is exactly what I'm looking for. I've seen his stuff before, but didn't realize he did that stuff to sell. Thanks a lot The Great 308.

Yes, those are good ones. I have one. The thing is, I want one that I can weld to be permenant, and then attach quick disconnect rings.

I had a friend make me some steel rail. :D
I haven't installed the rail yet, as I need to trim it to length (had like 13" of it) I also had the underside radiused to match up with the top of the receiver.

This was in the mock-up stage for determing how much I'd need. I'm cutting enough to fit between the rear sight base and the carry handle.

One piece bases made for the Savage 110 LA with accutrigger will work as a weld on mount. I've mocked up a Ken Farrell 20MOA base on the top of my receiver and the radius is almost perfect. The mount sits in place with minimal gap between the rail and receiver. The cutout section of the mount for the ejection port of the Savage action fits perfectly over the raised section of the HK receiver with the serial #. You can just see the serial# looking under the side of the mount. I haven't checked, but it's possible that Remington bases would work as well.
