Picked up a wide forearm today and when I tried to put it on my Cetme I remembered that I’ll have to do some modifications to install it.

But before I do that I’d like to know what I have for sure.

It looks to be made of inner and outer plastic pieces with a heat shield all held together with two rivets, it has the front metal piece that the cross pin goes through and the bi-pod attaches to as well as the spring lock for the bi-pod, also has the metal piece at the rear on the left hand side, as best I can tell, it was originally olive drab but has been painted with a textured black.

The only I.D. markings I can see on it are a “6.” on the outer piece at the rear where it goes over the receiver and a “7” on the rear of the inner piece.

Main reason I’d like to know is for 922r compliance.

Thanks,

Woofert

It looks just like my POF wide forearm. Only the number is different.

Thanks Nevada,

I’ll make a new post asking if anyone has the procedure for the mod.

If it were HK, it would have been date stamped in that rectangle on the left side.

Looks like POF texturing to me... I hope it was painted with quality paint...

As far as the mod goes... just grind with a dremel til it fits... choose either the handguard or the ring on the barrel to grind... i chose the ring on the barrel... YMMV

It does not really make much of a difference for 922r if it is POF or HK, they are both imported.

It also looks like your handguard was "neutered" during the AWB ban. The front part where the bipod is attached was modified so that the bipod will no longer attach. Compare yours to the photo above.
