I used to own a nice FR8 and Finnish M39, but times got tough, and I had to sell as much as I could. I kept one bolt gun, because I have so much time and effort tied into it. I'll never sell it as long as I live. It's my Remington 700P

I know this doesn't appear like the right place for this, but I was inspired to make this post after seeing all these nice bolt guns here.

Here's a 5-shot group at 100 yards:

I've rung a man sized target a few times at 1000 yards with it, although it's no competition winner.

Load, in case you're wondering:

175 SMK
44gr IMR4064
Win Brass
CCI BR2 primers
2650fps
OAL on my load was 2.83 - 2.835"

+1 on the accuracy and finish. That's a keeper for sure. Anything special you did to it and what kinda glass is on top?

Thanks guys.

The glass is a Leupold Mark 4 PR 3.5 - 10 x 40 mil-dot. Rings are TPS.

I worked on the trigger myself using instructions found here:

http://www.snipercountry.com/Articles/RemingtonTriggers.asp

A buddy of mine bedded the rifle. The base is a 20MOA Farrell.

Pretty much just a stock 700P. Most of the accuracy comes in the handloading. I was shooting about .5 - .75 MOA until I came up with that formula above, and quite suddenly everything fell into place.

Here's one more pic:
