Whatever your praises or complaints about the way the NRA handles things is now of little consequence. We now have the most anti-gun President and Vice-President in history about to take office. The House and Senate are filled with anti-gun politicians.
Now is the time to put aside our differences and close ranks, circle the wagons, or whatever phrase you like. Now is the time to join the NRA! No more time to debate the good or bad of the leadership. They have the political knowledge and skills to fight the loss of our rights. No other group is as well equipped. I have been a member since the early 70’s and a lifer since 1978. Not always in agreement with their actions but always a member. Way too many gun owners are just sitting there awaiting someone else to protect them from the anti’s. We need the people listed below to stand up and join us in the fight!
Are you one of them?
Most estimates range between 39% and 50% of US households having at least one gun (that’s about 43-55 million households). The estimates for the number of privately owned guns range from 190 million to 300 million. Removed those that skew the stats for their own purposes the best estimates are about 45% or 52 million of American households owning 260 million guns).
Do not delay! Join the NRA today!

The best way to overcome an opposing force is to divide and overcome. That has been their strategy since this battle began. Look at what happened with Jim Zumbo last year. A prime example of spltting up the group. If we allow ourselves to be divided and attack one another they have won. This truly is a fight for our freedom and our rights. This is our heritage we have a right to our heritage. Being proactive with your local and state legislature and the NRA is our best defense/ offense. It is important that we stand up for our rights and have our voices heard, but remeber to do it in a respectful way, everyone is entitled to their opinion it's what makes this country great!

So far I have gotten 3 fellow workers (1 who never owned a gun, until he met me) to join the NRA just in the past year. The trick was to bring my American Rifleman Magazines into work and leave them out on the break room table. After they read them it seemed to open up their eyes that our freedoms are dying.

I also encourage membership in other groups, too, such as JPFO.

Screw the NRA! Has everyone already forgotten what they tried to do with the Heller case? :nonono: Those bastards have helped "compromise" our rights away over the years instead of digging in their heals and, following Nancy's (Reagan) advice, just saying NO!

My money will never go the NRA. JPFO (http://www.jpfo.org/) or GOA (http://www.gunowners.org/) only. They are the only two national organizations that don't believe in making deals with the enemy.

BTW, don't anyone forget their local groups. Here in AZ we have a great organization (AZCDL (http://www.azcdl.org/)) that has helped make the laws better for gun owners each year. It is on the local level that most victories can be won and have an immediate impact on our daily lives.
