up on the chopping block today is some original Santa Barbara made CSP-003 ammunition.
it was made in 1962 at the Palencia ammo plant in Spain and it is beautiful ammo with crimped in primer pockets with green primer sealant, nice annealed brass, nice crimp at the neck, and it has a special 120 grain bullet with a plastic core surrounded by lead. it has a REALLY nice shooting recoil impulse and when you are shooting it out of a FA gun, it REALLY does make the gun more easy to control - works great on semi auto as well.
it was made for use in fully automatic CETME Modelo A, and Modelo 58 or Model B CETME rifles to help with controllability while firing full auto. it does indeed shoot VERY nicely out of most cetme rifles (ive even seen it fire in a full auto cetme, and g3 with fleming sear pack without issue). In the beginning there were reports that SOME peoples rifles wouldnt cycle 100% with this ammo, but im not sure i believe it. This is some nice shooting ammo from my experiance with it. i had over 1000 rounds of it at one point and this is all i have left.
Back in the very beginning there were rumors floating around that the cetme model C rifles were designed to shoot "special CETME ammo" and arent safe to shoot nato .308
i worked for years to dispel that rumor on the internet and im sure if you searched you can find a post or two where i talk about this ammo and lots of posts where people talk about the "cetme" bullets.
well, this stuff is that special "cetme bullet"
there was also rumors floating around that the 1916 guardia civil, and the FR7 and FR8 were designed to shoot this special "cetme" ammo which is also not true, but this stuff shoots GREAT in all 3 rifles as well and is probably a bit easier on the gun than full strength nato.
it is collectable ammunition, and before this very small lot hit the market it was selling for over $1.00 a round on some ammo collectors websites back in the day. not sure about now, havent looked for cetme stuff in years. century had a bunch of loose random ammunition from spain and this was from that lot. not very much made in in country.
get some of this stuff for your collection (or even just to shoot - the stuff works great in my guns) and next time you hear someone say "that gun wasnt designed to shoot nato ammo" you can prove them wrong
18 full 20 round boxes and 1 partial with 4 rounds in it
all boxes are intact and useful. ammo is safe and shootable, and in good condition.
364 rounds (ammo can not included) for $200.00 plus shipping - guaranteed to be as described and can provide references for the ones who dont know me.
please post here you want it, and then PM me here on this site with your name and address so i can get you a detailed online shipping quote with UPS
thanks for looking
