    bought some stock

last year when the stock market was taking a tank i bought some stock.

i had a little money set aside to buy a few of the M-53's, but i knew that it was time to invest a little into some stock ( you know buy low and sell high). so i watched the market and descided i would buy some GM or some DOW CHEMICAL. the GM dropped real fast and i amost bought some, but i kept watching the dow stock and when it got to $6 a share i bought 1000 shares.. the next day it went to $5.45 a share. it stayed around $7 or 8 for a while and finally started to creep up.

( my wife was they one who was wanting me to buy the dow stock, she bought a bunch of it, not sure how much, but she has been smiling a lot lately).

well! today she told me it is at almost $26 a share.

sometime listening to your wife can be a very good thing.

when it get to $35 or $40 i may sell it, maybe not.

kinda like buying ammo when it is very cheap.

Pirate just reported on his and said it sucked. His wouldn't function good as it was rusted. Apparently it wasn't nuetralized after being parked.

Ron, pay close attention to that stock. If the financial crisis doesn't pan out then you may be holding worthless paper. Check it daily if possible. Just CYA!!!! Especially in these financial times!!! Sounds like your doing just fine though!!!

Uh Oh! Citi is not doing well at all and most probably won't be the big bank it once was. I dumped my shares in it a few months back, Bank stocks while they look like a good deal aren't.

I agree that you want to be real attentive to that GM stock.
After working in the GM system for nearly 20 years I had a sizeable amount of stock and took a real bath at the end.
But I also saw the chance for some recovery and bought the day before the collapse and got shares at about 50 cents a share.
I'm debating how long to gamble on it because I still don't see a lot of positive signs in the US auto sector except for Ford.
