    .22 Rimfire ?

I am asking this question because of the darn high co$t of Ammo lately. Can you really go out to the Range and have fun with a .22? I have a Henry .22 Pump that protects my bird feeder, and keeps some of the cats in my neighborhood from using the underside of my back deck as a Litter Box. I dont shoot the cats , but near them to scare them away hopefully. I cant see myself loading it up and going to the range with it though . Possibly I should look into a conversion for my Bushmaster AR.

What do some of you have in .22 that you like to shoot ?

Ruger 10-22 in archangle stock,GSG-5,S&W MP15-22,Walther P22 pistol all of them are a fun time to shoot. I also have a Savage 17HMR thats a little more costly to shoot but its alot of fun also.

You have a lot to chose from right now.
    Ruger SR22
    Remington 597 VTR
, S&W, Colt (no good) all have new assault type rifles.
    GSG5
    Feather AT 22,
    Puma Wildcat are cool.

Mitchell Arms had some cool 22's that can be found on GunBroker

I had my Feather AT22 for 15 years and have a GSG5. My boy has a Ruger 10/22 but he is thinking of getting the Ruger SR-22. He also has a Henry lever action 22. After getting the lever action, he doesn't shoot the 10/22 any more.

I looked at the Puma Wildcat and it is cool but lots of plastic. The Puma 22 is more my style.

i almost bought an upper 22 ar conversion but do I realy need another 22 rifle? I think I need a 22 handgun instead.

I get bored with my 10-22 fast. It's set up with a bull barrel and thumbhole stock. I need a little plinker. Seriuosly thinking of the AR conversion kit. A silencer has surpased the rifles on my want list now. I'll start the process after New Years. Add the two together on the AR and it would be fun.

I looked at a Tactical Solutions ar upper that had a built in suppressor and one that you could add one. I think a suppressed 22 could be fun.

I got a 22 conversion for the ar's and a GSG-5, need to get out the 10/22 more and shoot them. I love shooting the 22 ruger auto pistols I have along with the couple of bolt action rifles I have some where about too.

I use my 22's as practice as cheap practice for thier big brothers. I've got a Remington 597 thats a tack driver/squirrel reducer, P22 is a cheap pistol to train with. GSG5 and AR conversion are probably the most fun. Well worth it, they dont have the big bang and recoil of high power, but you more than make up for it with more trigger pulls.

If you buy an upper, take a good look at Spikes. For a dedicated platform, I've been really happy with the S&W MP-15 .22. Stay away from the Colt until Umarex gets all of the bugs worked out. I've had 2 friends now that have taken them back for problems.

A ,22 makes a nice break from the big stuff - big recoil - big noise. But even bringing a couple of .22s only gets boring fast.

I like that PPSH41 look of the Puma.
