    New addition to the family

Meet Penny (my four year old insisted on the moniker). We have been kicking around the idea of a puppy for my boy for a while now. I posted at a local firearms forum earlier in the week asking for info on breeders and ended up accepting an offer from a fellow forum member to take one of his off his hands. She is a Rottweiler mix with no rotty markings (it's all good to me, she is totally cute without them). The guy sent me some pictures and Isaiah fell in love, so we drove out to his place near Baton Rouge this evening and let him choose which of the two pups he wanted. He went with the fluffier of the two pretty much immediately, she is also the more laid back of the two, so it is a good fit. I have been taking her outside every two hours since we've been home and so far she has done her business outside every time she has been afforded the opportunity. She is a good puppy.

He wanted them both, both he had to choose.

Penny and Isaiah at home for the first time.

Penny was a bit scared at first, but about an hour of exploring later she finally found a comfy spot... right on some old shoes.

Congrats on the new member of the family. Very interesting one too, I've never seen a pitch black rotty, it almost looks like a little bear.

We have two labs, one is big enough to saddle up and let a kid ride it, the better half when we got it promiced it would be a small lab. Ya right, it stands about three and a half feet and when it lays on the bed, takes up half of a king sized bed.

The labs though are gentle and loving for sure, I think everyone will be pleased.

Boys and puppies, nothing in the world beats watching the two grow up together. Good for you, your family and new addition!

We're dog crazy here with the kids grown and gone they have become replacement children. It didn't help any seeing your pics, I don't dare show them to the wife!

Thanks y'all. She's a sweetheart as well, very well adjusted for under six weeks old (she made five weeks this past Sunday).
